Advant Medical is established in some of the largest MedTech hubs around the world. We are strategically located in Ireland, Mexico and Costa Rica to supply our global customers. We employ over 250 quality-centric staff worldwide. All facilities contain ISO class 8 cleanrooms.

The Advant Medical Group is located in Ireland, Mexico and Costa Rica. Our corporate HQ is located in Parkmore Business Park West, Galway, Ireland. Our specialist injection moulding facility is located in Inverin, Co. Galway, Ireland. Each facility supports assembly and packaging in an ISO Class 8 cleanroom.

Advant Medical will develop and implement manufacturing processes for products from prototypes to high volume. A wide range of production methods enable us to provide a scalable and efficient contract manufacturing and packaging services.

While Advant Medical does not offer in-house sterilisation we have very strong partnerships with a number of outside sterilization service companies.
Contract PackagingIs it wise to leave the design of medical device packaging until the end of the process?
The short answer is No. Many companies leave their packaging design until the last minute leading to costly redesigns or rushed packaging that may not meet the stringent requirements. Here at Advant Medical we work with you from product concept to design packaging requirements that are functional for your medical device

Our packaging design capabilities include SolidWorks 3D CAD, 3D Printing Technology, Rapid Prototyping, Rigid and Flexible Packaging Design, Unit to Transportation Box Design, GS1 and 2D Bar Code Label design and Final Packaging Design and Technical data.
Contract PackagingWhat volume of injection moulding are you capable of?
Advant’s Moulding operations can support pilot manufacturing projects to high volume commercial runs. Annually we produce 150 million injection moulded components.
Injection MouldingWhat machine tonnage have you got?
Our current equipment has various machine tonnage ranging from 25, 35, 60 and 120 accommodating both hot and cold runner systems.
Injection MouldingWhat materials are available?
Our highly competent injection moulding team use various materials during the injection moulding process including: HDPE, PP, LDPE, LLDPE, PC, ABS, TPV and more.
Injection MouldingWhy use 3D printing for prototyping?
The functional prototypes we deliver for testing and design verification are a fraction of the cost when compared to production tooling. This allows you to have a physical review of your product at an early stage in the process.
3D Printing and Rapid PrototypingDo you offer a variety of materials for 3D printing?
Yes, we can 3D print parts from multiple material types in a single build and offer up to 120 material combinations including transparent, rigid opaque materials, rubber-like materials, simulated polypropylene and high-temperature materials.
3D Printing and Rapid PrototypingAre there benefits to using a solid free form (SSF) additive fabrication process?
Yes, by using this process we can:
- Create complex parts with superb resolution and accuracy
- Produce fully functional parts suitable for design verification
