Job Opportunities at Advant Medical

 

  • Manage tool changes and process set-ups as directed to meet production schedule
  • Perform equipment maintenance, both on tooling and machines to maximise process up-time
  • Undertake mould cleaning and cleaning of machines and equipment as necessary
  • Report on process and technical issues
  • Ensure correct materials are available and at the correct machine
  • Complete line clearance activities when a change-over is underway
  • Support the development of documentation, training and work instruction activities within Injection Moulding
  • Support process optimisation and ensure all documentation is updated
  • Ad hoc duties, as required.

 

Injection Moulding Technician Desirable Skills: 

  • Strong knowledge of injection moulding, ancillary equipment, processing and robotic and automation systems
  • 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role/environment
  • Experience with mould set up and working with a wide variety of plastics and mould types
  • Good knowledge of hydraulic, electrical and control systems desirable
  • Excellent IT, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong planning and organising skills

Quality Inspector

Responsibilities:

  • Provide day to day quality support of Injection Moulding processes
  • Perform effective hands-on monitoring of production to flag quality issues in a timely manner
  • Liaise with Manufacturing, Engineering and other in-house groups to determine root cause and solve issues
  • Support Customer Complaint Investigation activities
  • Prepare trending and analysis of key quality metrics
  • As part of a team, assist in the validation of equipment and process changes
  • Support ongoing continuous improvement activities

 

Education and Experience:

  • Previous experience in Medical Device manufacturing is an advantage
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential
